  1. As always, Elizabeth, this is a treasure trove! So interesting, too, to see several on how to balance creativity and ‘the muse’ with the business side of being an author. That’s really helpful!

    1. Alex–I was a little surprised by this, too! I’ve read Pearl Buck’s Good Earth (at least it starts *out* with wealthy Asians), but wasn’t familiar with this trope. Think I may need to increase the diversity of my reading. :(
