Twitterific writing links are fed into the Writer’s Knowledge Base search engine (developed by writer and software engineer Mike Fleming) which has over 45,000 free articles on writing related topics. It’s the search engine for writers.
Have you visited the WKB lately? Check out the new redesign where you can browse by category, and sign up for free writing articles, on topics you choose, delivered to your email inbox! Sign up for the Hiveword newsletter here.
New Stuff:
The 8th annual online Nonfiction Writers Conference, May 2-4. The opening session features a conversation with Gretchen Rubin, New York Times bestselling author of The Four Tendencies, Better Than Before, and The Happiness Project. Additional sessions cover how to write, publish, promote and profit with nonfiction books. There is a fee for attending the conference, but here is a discount code for 33% off for my blog readers: ElizabethSpannCraig35
Picture book resources: This was something cool that I stumbled across this week: free picture book templates and other resources from the talented Debbie Ridpath Ohi (@inkyelbows).

That’s cool you were able to get a discount for your blog followers to that conference.
They offered and I took them up on it, ha! Paying for online cons is unusual, but this one does have some bigger name headliners, so that may be why.
As always, Elizabeth, these are great links. One of the things I’ve not done yet is anything meaningful about international publishing and about translating. I ought to consider that; I know that people widen their markets that way. Hmmm…something to put on the list of things to do for growth…
It can definitely bring in more income and expose your books to more readers…and it can all be free of upfront costs with royalty-share arrangements (translation) and international aggregators (who, like Amazon, take a portion of royalties).
I always forget about the non-fiction conference. Thank you for the reminder.
Hope it’s a good one!
As I get closer to finishing my book, I’m beginning to pay more attention to the links about marketing. Thanks, Elizabeth.
Excited for you and the upcoming release!
These links are worth their weight in gold. Thank you. When I see people helping us writers they way you have it is a reminder that we are given plenty of tools to create. There is no excuse to produce quality work.
Thanks again for your help.
There are tons of resources out there to help us every step of the way and I’m happy to share some of them. Thanks for coming by and best wishes for your writing!
