The Top Writing Links From Last Week Are On Twitterific: Share on X
Did you see the IWSG Anthologies blog posts the past couple weeks? Everyone has been listing their favorite writing resources online. Some are new to me – lots to add to the IWSG site.
Oh, that’s awesome! I think I’ve missed those. I’ll have to go back and check them out…sounds like lots of good stuff. :)
Thanks, Elizabeth, for the great links. The one that caught my first today was the one about teaching students structure. There are so many ways for writers to be unique, even to ‘break the rules’ when it suits the story. But first, you have to know what those rules are, and how to use them. To me, it’s much like learning to play an instrument. First you learn the notes and fingering, etc.. Then you can create. And I believe there are ways to do this and still allow for students to find their own voices.
Great analogy to music, Margot! I think you’re right about knowing the rules in order to effectively break them. Hope you have a good week!
So many cons and and festivals going to online only. Good for attendees, not good for vendors unfortunately.
Good point! I didn’t think about the vendor impact, but it’s got to be major.
