You always have the most interesting and helpful links, Elizabeth! One of the ones that got my attention this time was the question of hiring an editor. When you don’t have a trad publisher or a small indie publisher, you need to think of that question. We don’t always like to admit it, but everyone needs an editor. The question is, how do you find the right editor without spending a fortune. For me, the business expenses of writing are always a balancing act.
We all need them, but you’re so right–the amount you’ll spend really varies. It helps if our drafts are as clean as we can make them before we send them along.
