As always, this is a great list, Elizabeth! I noticed there were a few about keeping perspective (I guess that’s the best way to put it) as a writer. Even when we’re not actually tapping on the keyboard, we’re still writers. Whatever we’re doing (whether it’s promo, updating a website, reaching out to local readers, etc..), it’s part of what being a writer is. I think that approach helps us not to punish ourselves when the writing is going slowly.
That’s so true, Margot! When we’re researching, outline, doing the slower parts of writing, it’s still progressing us toward our goal.
