Top writing links from last week: Share on X
One of my writing blogger buddies is dealing with severe writing depression right now. I will send him that link.
Alex–Whenever I come across a good article on writers and depression, I share it on Twitter. And I *always* get a response back from writers. It really seems to be a problem many writers encounter at least at some point through their career. And I’ve watched as advice in the articles has shifted over the last 5 years…away, most recently, from medication and into lifestyle and therapeutic options.
Oh, Elizabeth, these are some great links! But then, of course, they always are… I really need to read that one about turning criticism into practical things to do. I think we all learn we need to develop thick skins as writers. But it helps if we can look at criticism as a part of the revision process, if that makes sense.
Margot–I liked that one, too. I’ll sometimes use negative customer reviews to make future books in my series better. Thanks for coming by!
Hey Elizabeth,
Looks like a very cool and very comprehensive list. I have to dive into it, for sure there are a couple of gems to be found. Thanks a bunch for including me!
Alex–Thanks for the great post!
Loved the article “Advice for Authors from a Bookseller’s Perspective.” Lots of great information there. Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth, and thanks for including me. :O)
Colleen–Nice post, as always! Thanks for the resource you provide to writers.
