  1. Thanks, Elizabeth. As always, an excellent set of links. It's so interesting that there's another great article on whether to use first or third person in writing. For me, it always comes down to which POV tells the story most effectively. I've used both ('though I've only used first person in my flash fiction), and I think it can help a writer to 'stretch the muscles' by experimenting with both. But for my novels – third person. Now please don't get me started on past or present tense… ;-)

    1. I have 1st person POV in one series, where it seems to work well. I tried it for a new series that I’m starting and it didn’t work well at all; 3rd worked a lot better. I’m with you on present tense!
