Thanks for these great links, Elizabeth! And wouldn't you know it, the first one is a timely and wise warning against scams. I've been approached several times lately by people trying to scam authors, and also by other scammers. It's unfortunate, but we just can't be as trusting as I wish we could be. I may be giving up legitimate opportunities sometimes, but I'd rather do that than be scammed.
It would be nice if these bad actors didn’t exist, but that’s just not going to happen. At least there are good resources like Writer Beware to help writers navigate.
