Summer Send-Off: Southern-Style Potato Salad

IMG_5853 Okay, y’all. It’s Thursday, and…as usual…that means it’s heart-attack on a plate day! Please visit me on Mystery Lovers’ Kitchen for a recipe to send summer off in style.

  1. So…hungry…must have…sustenance.

Seriously, I like Michigan, but northern food sucks. I’m the only person in my family who can really claim to be from the north, as I’m the youngest child and we moved from Texas when I was a baby. All the rest of the family, including extended, is native to Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, and Mississippi…all places with better food than here. So I know the difference, and that’s what makes it so bad. If I didn’t know, I wouldn’t care.

  2. I must learn to eat on Thursdays before visiting your blog! The photos alone make me want to run to my kitchen(if only there’d be something that yummy looking to eat once I got there).

  3. Jane–Me too! I comment at the Kitchen every day and I’m always starving afterwards.

Jeannie–You’re right. :) It’s such a different taste than many others….less on the mustard side, heavier on the sour cream.

  4. Helen–I think I may be addicted to it. I made it last night and ate it with supper. Then I ate it for breakfast. Then I ate it for a snack…

Diane–It would be a challenge, but I think you could make it suitable for a vegan diet.

Jack–The food is really good….but it will clog up your arteries in a skinny second.

Elspeth–Oh, it’s definitely comfort food. And I’m thinking I can adapt it for winter and just serve it hot.

Patricia–I did, too! That’s why I chose this one. Since the last time I went to the store for a blog I almost got run over. :)

    Carolyn–Thanks!
