The Top Writing Links From Last Week Are On Twitterific: Share on X
Thanks for including Janice Hardy's post at the IWSG. We were honored to have her.
It was a great post!
These are all such helpful links, Elizabeth, as always! One of them that really got my attention was the one about editing and being 'the boss' of a book. That's one thing I really work on: how to make the best of criticism, editing, and so on. I think a writer has to be as objective as possible (hard as it is!) with criticism. Do the comments really make the story better? If so, use 'em – arrogance does not serve a story. If not, take it in stride. That person may have a brilliant idea next time. Harder to do than to say, though…
So very true. It takes time to really understand what’s necessary and helpful and what’s not really going to help make the story better!
